Nelson 2nd XI -Cup Finalists!
A baking hot day today saw Nelson 2nds get past Clitheroe Cricket Club 2nds to secure a home final at Seedhill on 1st August vs Littleborough.
Clitheroe won the toss and elected to bat first.
A fine opening partnership between the Nelson bowlers kept Clitheroe to 36-6 off 20 overs.

Clitheroe rallied but were bowled out for 118 in the 42nd over.
Matt Pettinger was the mainstay of the innings with 44, supported by Ali Syed Asghar (26) and Caleb Lister (17)
Nelson passed the target with 6 wickets down in the 40th over.
Overall, a good day of cricket played in the right spirit by both teams and finished with a fines meeting, pizza and very important rehydration!
